A
couple here who knows Patrick told me about you guys and the junk mail thing
about an hour ago haha! its 8am here, I think I'll have time again later to
write or call or whatever we need to do! Today my kasama (companion) Sister George is going
to be endowed and I will be her escort! I'm so excited! It's very humid, but
well worth it, I think when Heavenly Father talks about paradise, he means the
Philippines haha. The MTC is cool! I'm one of the only white people here and
its really funny, everyone is so friendly to me and it is very good to me. I
met one missionary in the San Fransisco airport, he was from Herriman, Elder Money. He
went home and then was coming back out to finish his mission. He gave me a lot
of advice, and I think Ama sa Langit sent him there to give me advice, because
otherwise I would have had to fly alone. I didn't sleep much, but I figured
that all out when I got here. The food here is good, I eat rice every day! and
the cooks are so nice to us too.
My district is so cool too, we all are so
close, and we are all from a bunch of different places because we are the
language training missionaries, most missionaries here are native to the
Philippines. In my district we have 3 New Zealanders, a Samoan, a Pakistani, an
American (me) and a Peruvian! Sister Flores who is from Peru loves it when I
Speak Spanish to her because everyone here mostly speaks English to us, she
says it makes her so happy she would cry haha. And the sisters from New Zealand
have such strong testimonies!! We all help each other all so much, with the
language and with spiritual things too. My kasama (Companion) is so cute, she's 23 and an
electrical engineer from Pakistani, and she helps me a lot. I learn a lot from her and we have
a lot of fun together!! I want to send photos but I might have to figure that
one out later today, or next week. Wednesday is my P day.
Thanks
for the picture, it makes me happy that that sister missionary reached out to
you when you needed her in Arizona and again now, being a missionary means you
minister to everyone like the Savior did and you don't just stop when you take
the badge off. The spirit is so strong here. The grounds were dedicated by
President Russel M Nelson in 2011 when they added in the last buildings. This
ground is sacred, and miracles happen every day here. I can pay attention like
I never have before in my studies to learn Tagalog and I know it's because
Dyios (Heavenly Father) answers prayers, he blessed me with comfort, a patient companion and a
loving district who is becoming my family away from my family and my friends
away from my friends, which I definitely needed.
Alam
ko po na ang Dyios ang ating Ama sa Langit. Tayo ay kanyang mga anak.
Nagpapasalamat ako para sa pagmamahal ng ating Ama sa Langit.
Mahal
kita!!
Sister
