Week 3 Camarin Zone

This week was really good! We had the wedding of Sister Susana and Brother Arriel and it was perfect! I'm so glad that they had the faith to get married and eventually get baptized! They were so excited. This was my first baptism and it was so awesome, I know that if Heavenly Father sent me here just to help with that baptism than it was worth it- but our work is still going on, we are on the path to weekly baptisms! And by people who are progressing so much!!  They keep their commitments and they love going to church.  It's funny because they are the ones who are fellow-shipping members rather than the other way around, I love it so much. It was also a blessing to see this couple take the sacrament for the first time together; they seemed so happy. I feel lucky to be here and to be apart of their lives.

Because we were so busy with the wedding and the baptism this week I thought we wouldn't be able to teach a lot of lessons, and we did have less lessons than usual but again, people were just coming out of the woodwork.  We found these two older ladies while walking to another appointment and we didn't have time to talk to them so we gave them a Plano ng Kaligtasan (Plan of Salvation) pamphlet, and when we walked back from our appointment to our next, they were all sitting around reading it.  It made me so happy, just that even the little effort that we put out is received.  It's so cool.

The other day I was thinking about what it would be like to come back and visit not as a missionary here and I think it would kind of stink.  I would love to visit the members and I love it here, but it would be weird to come back not as a missionary.  I realize why I love this place the most is because everyday we get to teach people about God and how much he loves everyone; no matter their circumstances, and about how he sent His Son, to come and save all of us, and I get to watch people change their lives through that love that comes from the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I thought that when I received my mission call to the Philippines it was because I've been so privileged my whole life and Heavenly Father wanted to humble me, and this has been humbling, BUT I now know that I am continuing to be privileged, by getting to know people here and getting to be apart of their path to Eternal life, and it really really touches my heart.  It's hard to explain over email. haha. But yeah things are good, I love it here, I'm ready to do better next week and I'm so glad Heavenly Father shows me how every day.

Anyways, love you all, have the best week!!
