Dear Family,
This week was good! It was hard but good! We had two
baptisms and we have two more coming up. Our number of interested people
coming to Sacrament with us has lowered because they're all getting
baptized and becoming members so that's really cool
for us to see. We'll adjust accordingly so that Sister Espartero and
Sister Saballegue can have more success after I leave.(I'm being transferred in a couple of weeks)
The language was hard this week. It's hard to communicate
all that you want to when you don't have a lot of words memorized, but a
lot of people offer to help me with the language, so ill be taking
advantage of that too. Dallin said if
you are now noticing your mistakes that means you're improving; so that's nice
:)
I'm doing my best to "live after the manner of
happiness", like it says in the scriptures, by doing what happy people
do. Happy people serve others and smile and are nice to others and build
them up. That was a big thing I learned this week,
and its not necessarily a "fake it until you make it" mindset. I think
it's different. I think doing the things that happy people do will
actually make you happy.
I felt the spirit a lot this week and I've gained a lot
of different personnel revelations. Heavenly Father requires a lot from the people
who listen to him, but that's not bad. I also learned this week
about how God doesn't always deliver us from
our challenges and trials immediately, but he always blesses us
immediately. I really believe that. I see it with the people we teach
and with myself.
I'm grateful I get to learn new things from the other
missionaries, members and nonmembers everyday!! They all help me so much.
They all really are like ministering angels.
Things are good!! Even if i am struggling it
usually passes quickly. I'm grateful for Sister Espartero!! I love her a lot. Have a great week!
